Come join us in celebrating Wintersday — Toymaker Tixx has made his annual visit to Divinity's Reach to spread seasonal cheer and festivity! Bring the cheer of Wintersday to the distant north in the Secret Lair of the Snowmen , complete daily achievements to earn fanciful holiday weapons, save Wintersday for the orphans around Divinity's Reach by giving them wrapped gifts, and test your snow-throwing skills against other players in Snowball Mayhem.

You will also see Wintersday gifts appearing all around Tyria. See you in Divinity's Reach! In January, we made some adjustments to high-value cosmetic infusion sources to improve their availability. Continue to evolve and customize your level character with a new elite specialization for each profession. With a new variety of playstyles, weapon choices, and traits to choose from, there are more options than ever to play your way.

Discover and earn treasures as you journey through the Crystal Desert. Outfit your character with new armor sets, skins, and weapons inspired by Elonian culture and the heritage of the desert. Collect and upgrade armor sets and weapon skins that reflect the beauty, magic, and history of the desert.

Kick off challenging boss events whenever you're ready to take them on. Everyone can join the hunt! I usually do this when it takes longer past the playable percent as it often helps.

Hardly helpful when there isn't anything there relevant to the original question. I too am curious about why there is such a large update when there isn't any new content patch etc, all I can find is old info about a hotfix but no specifics about it.

These two posts are the official information as to what is in the patch. We have identified the cause of this issue and have a fix ready. Unfortunately, we need to address an unexpected hardware failure in our release pipeline before we are able to get this hotfix to you.

Hopefully this clarifies for everyone what happened in this patch. What's the meaning of "Ko" and "Mo"? Did you mean KB and MB per chance?

Standard bytes are also 8-bit, but not mandatory. I've never seen transfer rates using the octet unit. Also didn't know that the unit byte can consist of something other than 8 bit. Normally the existing folder name just gets replaced by a new one. One of the new folders is empty and the other contains the usual stuff. I noticed this, since I'm running a script after every update which moves the folder contents to a persistent ramdisk and links to it This may be an indication for an improper release which runs two post-installation actions instead of just one.

How is a disconnect different from a slow speed? What is the difference between a car crash and a traffic jam? That aside, nobody has been able to figure out the cause of the disconnects. It is a problem that is difficult to diagnose unless it is happening to you. It took me around 5 minutes while someone above mentioned 1 hour. That is a speed difference of 12x.

Looking just at the speed of my own drives the difference between my fastest and slowest is 72x. I could easily have had or not have this issue depending on where I installed my game. This issue also has the very obvious 46k multiplier. Even if each file was handled in a blink of an eye ms it would take more than an hour. It has also been mentioned above that the alternative was doing a 3GB non-delta patch just to give the appearance of a faster download speed.

That would be okay on my current connection but it would have taken over 3 hours on my old connection. Then there is the most absurd alternative. If this is the case, rather than downloading patches through GW2, you can try the background patching tool.

Under its advanced options, scroll to the bottom and click start to recheck all of the manifests. It is definitely my network, I've been having trouble the past week even browsing. I can finally play . You need to be a member in order to leave a comment. Sign up for a new account in our community. It's easy! Already have an account? Sign in here.
